WAVE 105 Cash For Kids Day

Steve Power PTFC WAVE 105 DayThe club were delighted to welcome Steve Power, one of the senior presenters from Wave 105, to be our guest at the game against Taunton Town in October. In addition we welcomed families from charities supported by the radio station’s charity, Cash for Kids, as our guests as well.

Steve took to the mic and entertained the crowd before the game and explained a little more as to what their charity does for disadvantaged children. One of their initiatives, 1000 Faces, looks for individuals and organisations to pledge to raise £100 for them during the course of the year.

Poole Town entered as one of the 1000 Faces and we collected £146 in buckets around the ground on the day. With the £42 we had already amassed we now have contributed £188 to the appeal.

Thanks to all who have kindly donated. Unfortunately for Steve, an avid Taunton fan, the day ended in disappointment as the Dolphins won the match 1-0.
