About the Team

U12s - Nigel Sibley

The team formed 4 years ago as a result of too many players in the other U9 squads within Poole Town. Many of the boys were new to football and had never played in a match.

Since then, the 10 original boys (along with some new faces) have progressed massively and bonded well as a team. Last season the team earned promotion, and beat teams from higher leagues in the cup competitions.

This season the team are currently top of D3 in the Dorset Youth Leagues, and into the QF of the league cup. (27/02/2019)

U12s - Steve Lane

The team currently plays in the Bournemouth League Division 9 (top division for U12).

Our Rovers team started up 5 years ago initially playing 5v5 mini soccer in the Dorset League. For the 2016/17 season we switched to play in the Bournemouth League and were placed in the 3^rddivision. We have progressed to the top division at U12 playing 9v9 football.

As coaches, our focus has been to help the team to play good quality passing football whilst developing their own individual skills.

It has been great this season to see how far the boys have developed as players and as a team in a much more competitive league.

U12s - Justin Scott Thomas

We play in Division 9 of the Bournemouth Youth League, 15 teams very competitive and a great league to learn & develop the players as its so competitive every week

The team has been together for 5 seasons with some very good success and player development. We also made the final of the Dorset Cup 2 seasons ago narrowly losing 1-0 in that final (a great achievement to reach a county cup final).

This season we have had 5-6 new players join the team and they have started to really show some promise on a more consistent basis. This has been highlighted by the fact the team is in the 2018-19 Childs Trophy Challenge Cup on Sunday 14th April 2019 V Bournemouth Electric U12's

U12s Colts - Nick Garland

This great team of U12’s have played together over the last 4-5 years. They have been a very successful team in both the league and cups. They won the League cup and were runners up in the County cup last year and in a non-competitive league were strong performers throughout.

This year in a tough Dorset First Division League they will no doubt perform to their best and continue to enjoy their football progression.

Jonathan, Paul, Paul and myself are proud to be involved with the boys and parents that make this such a great team.
