Trident Grant Boosts Free KI Football Coaching

FREE Spring and Summer Football Coaching Session To Be Added

Girls Saturday Morning CoachingThe Kids Initiative have received a further boost this month with another grant for £4,000 from the Trident Community Foundation. The grant is to be used for the continuation of providing free football coaching to young children in the area and to encourage more girls into the sport.

The KI’s administrator and Club director, Richard Gale, commented ‘This is the second substantial grant we have received from the Foundation and it’s arrival is timely as we are seeing huge increases in the cost of hiring pitches and venues where children play grassroots football. This grant will not only enable us to consolidate our free sessions on Saturdays and Mondays but to also expand to provide further sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings through the spring and summer months.'

Details of these, including the age ranges that will be catered for, will be announced shortly.

One session that will change immediately will be our new girl’s group which we formed just before Christmas. This group will now expand to include girls in Year 2 as well as those in Reception to Year 1.
